The Alameda County Sheriff’s K9 Association was founded to assist our retired K9 partners and to provide protective equipment. A subscription is on of the best ways to help. Here is some of what your donations can do to help our K9's.
- Purchase of specialized protective equipment for the K9’s. This equipment may include but not be limited to ballistic vests, paw protection, cooling equipment, reflective equipment, lighting, and lifting harnesses.

- Medical assistance for retired K9’s. Due to the nature of the job such as climbing fences and physical confrontations with suspects, retired canines often suffer serious medical issues such as chronic hip, bone and arthritis problems. Your donations help supplement their much needed care.
- The association also helps cover burial costs for K9’s that pass away.
